NOTES: I have a somewhat odd love of making military uniforms, so I was in heaven working on this costume. Everything from the pattern drafting to the detailing was just fun, and nothing was terribly hard (except for sewing the binding on in some spots).
As far as actual construction goes, there was nothing interesting to note about this costume, except that I learned to love spray paint. The stripes on the eppauletts, the gold button covers, the belt, the stars, and front pieces on the waist-cape thing are all spray-painted. I might have gone over-board. That and that all of my binding was hand-dyed because the binding company suddenly decided to not sell grey biding all of a sudden. Morons.
Riza is my favorite character from FMA. I'm extremely fond of her strict no nonsense attitude, stylish design, and the fact that she just kicks ass. Unfortunetly my jacket is badly damaged in the back seam, and now needs to be re-made.
