NOTES: Made to go along with Kairi G's Sir Integra and Glamurang's Alexander Anderson costumes for our lovely little Hellsing group. The New York Anime Festival was almost literally in my 'backyard', (that is if an apartment in NYC has one) so I ditched work for a day and went. I've wanted to make this costume for a long time, but I always lacked the technical skill to get it just right. So now that I've learned how to make fitted jackets it was pretty easy, just a little time consuming.
The jacket and skirt are made from a cotton/polyester twill blend, and I drafted all the patterns myself. Which was fun because of all the little pieces she has like belt loops and eppaullettes. This coat pattern has 19 pieces in it, holy wow. I've also got my trusty corset under there to get a more, 'top heavy' silhouette like Seras.
Harokken was made by Glamurang and it's a combination of the Nerf Longshot and a crap load of PVC. It comes apart in two pieces for easy storage and travel. The gun is about my height and stands (on it's own!) at just shy of 5'5". I am normally 5'4", these boots make me about 5'7".
