NOTES: Escaflowne has always been one of my favorite series, and when Kairi_g got it into her head to make Hitomi I jumped on the bandwagon and agreed to make Van. The costume was extremely simple, which is why I spruced it up by adding wings. This was the first pair I had ever made. So I asked Dia to give me a hand. She made the base and the shape and gave me a few quick tips so I could be on my way. Under my top is a 'compression vest'. Basically I took power stretch mesh and made a tank top that squished my bust down to a low A-cup. Surprisingly enough it didn't hurt.
I love this costume so much, it's comfortable and just gives me a nice feeling of nostalgia. Plus the reaction you get when other Escaflowne fans see you is the best.
